Hop, skip, and a jump.

Water halfway up the ramp Wednesday

Just when we thought the river was good to row on, the rains returned and boy oh boy it’s full again.  What you see above was the river at 9:30 AM Wednesday; the title of the post references the only way to get out the dock right now!

As it goes I was talking to one of the staff in Facilities Services about our docks; I realized that in the last six years of coaching here we’ve only missed one week– the first week of the 2006 season– due to river height/current issues.  Maybe one more day here and there but nothing that stands out in my memory.  A pretty good record, really.  Hopefully things taper off and we’re good to go on February 7th; I’d LOVE to be back to the water right away!

AWESOME meeting with the women’s squad last night, with a ton of enthusiasm.  Also saw a big percentage of the men’s squad in the erg room getting some work in.  Coaches meeting this afternoon to get all our ducks in a row.  Counting down– seventeen days!
