Women's V8 on the dock, with hail.

Got hit today with a sudden and very uncommon hailstorm plus lightning in the afternoon row; highly unusual for Portland and turned what was looking to be a great session into a dash back to the dock.  Cool to see some awesome focus from the crew in true epic conditions– hail pouring down, wind, whitecaps, and then the CRACK! of thunder far to close for comfort.  Not good to row in but an experience I’m sure none of us will forget anytime soon.

The Sellwood bridge had huge amounts of water draining off– three big streams from all the rain and hail.  Jim & I don’t think we’ve ever seen it like that before.  Just amazing.
